My just turned 3 yr old absolutely loved this clock! (Or tick-tock-clock as she calls it) she has quickly come to be able to turn the hands on the clock to the times that go with the story bc of the diagram of the clock on the pages. But she let me know that we were late getting home the other night because "Mommy! It's seven o'clock! We're late!" This is a three year old reading a analog clock face. The people around us were stunned-and so was I! :) I'm just glad that this book provides a fun way to help children learn time.
Great book for beginners. Easy to read and very slick glossy pages and cover. It's sad that it's damaged a bit on the cover. The box was packed well and in good condition so it must have been damaged before packing.
My son (age 4) has been very interested in reading/understanding time lately so I thought this would be a fun book for him.We love reading it, and when we are done with the story we look at our clock and adjust the one in the book to match the time.The only downside to this book is every time listed is on the hour - never a quarter or half past an hour...(It does actually say on the back cover: "follow George hour by hour"... but I didn't see that when I bought it online.)
This book looks like the picture. the clock is accessible from the cover and you can use it as you turn each page and go through the day. it goes through the usual aspects of a toddler's day - wake up, breakfast, reading, play, nap, etc - and helps them relate time to their activities.
This book is really cute! I was looking for something to help teach my daughter time that was also a decent price. She loves Curious George and this tale of a visit to a classroom is perfect for my preschooler! Now, she sets the time before I even get to read the page!
NICE BOOK AND THE CLOCK IS VERY STURDY FOR LITTLE HANDS THAT WANT TO "CHANGE" THE TIME. GREAT PRICE ALSO. I LOVE TO GIVE BOOKS AS A GIFT. THIS PAIRED WITH THE STUFFED CURIOUS GEORGE (ALSO FOUND ON AMAZON)IS A PERFECT GIFT FOR A LITTLE FAN OF GEORGE!! PAGES NICE AND COLORFUL TOO.
The book started falling apart the first day. Otherwise it is nice for learning time. The book also arrived covered with some yellowish powder what was disappointing.
Good to teach how to recognize hours, but there is no way to use it to expand to cover minutes later.
